    I loved this book. Accessible but authentic. I’ve run a few of these workouts and enjoyed them and seen results. I have a number of books on this topic and if I had to grab two I’d get this one and Starting Strength. This book is very well done and at this price it’s a steal. I love the sample workouts, the structure, and the background the author provides. I’ll probably be buying copies for friends that ask about how to start working out. I already sent a few copies to friends. It’s that good.

    This book is very well written. Several sections are clearly for beginners, but there is still information that I doubt the vast majority of experienced lifters knows. The workout plans (there are a lot) are well designed, the explanations are terrific, and the form recommendations help me improve even on exercises that I have done a million times. Great book

    I’ll be honest, I have been following Jeff for 8 years and I knew just about everything he had written in this book. But with this book, Jeff does a great job at simplifying everything. He does present you with a lot of information. But what he excels with is explaining what is necessary to have great results. You get a lot of BS and misinformation in the fitness industry and Jeff really emphasizes the simple things. Eat the proper amount of calories, lift weights and be consistent. Great purchase, just like everything else he has published. Brian

It's well laid out and explained in detail without scientific jargon to confuse. Also CITATION CITATION CITATION which I appreciate. I can read the studies myself if I don't trust Jeff (but I do)
